I have UBER exciting news!!!
My parents have said that they will do something concrete about buying me and my little sister a horse!!!
*Que jumping around the house squealing*
This doesn't mean that we are definitly buying a horse but it does mean that my parents will seriously consider the figures and such and we will be buying a horse if everything is in order both money wise and everything else wise. This also doesn't mean that we'll just be able to buy a horse and not have to work to keep him/her, I'm going to get a job as soon as I can and I will be paying for a large portion of upkeep.
Me and my sister will be sharing our horse and we will be agisting at the stables we currently ride at (I volunteer and know a large group of people so we will have plenty of guidance/support!)
Now, if the stars do align we probably won't buy Midge as he is quite stubborn and my sister doesn't like him very much (:( ) But! I will be buying him on my own when I can pay for a horse on my own.
So super duper exciting times overhere!
How are you guys going with your horses/horse journey?

Playing with bubbas!!!
The new batch of bubbas just started being brought in with the rest of the herd!!!
And this means I get to get up close and personal with foalies :D
They are so freaking cute its honestly unimaginable, it isn't the first time I've seen them because I was there when their mares were brought in for preg scans (It was so cool to see little fetus foals on the scanner, and I got to feel one of the mares back, back back most teeth! Oh and I got to walk a mare and her foal out to the back of the property and watch a covering. It was so cool!) and these guys were at foot. But never the less they are all still adorable!
And now I give you some photos of them (taken on my phone, camera was at home. Doh!)

Joddie Problems!
I wear through a pair of jodhpurs in two months, maybe 3 months if I'm lucky. It's not like I'm riding an insane amount - twice a month and volunteering 1-2 times a month.
The thing is I have NO idea what's causing it!
I have one theory though - I have developed a deeper seat, probably since the end on last year.
Strangeness....
I refuse to ride in jeans though, I find they are too restricting and I find full seat joddies restricting in the but area....
Hmmmmm?
And sorry for the short post - I'm out of action for 4 (maybe 6) weeks because of my back, compressed spine + Muscle spasm = Not fun.

This is bigger than it seems
I may be off riding for 4 - 6 weeks.
I know its better than doing long term damage but I'll be on the ground while my friends are riding and I won't get to ride Midge. And to make it worse my parents have said that I probably won't be allowed to volley while I'm off even if its just groundwork.
Sorry guys I'm not super motivated to post at the moment, kinda depressed really...

Bad news
You know how I got bucked off a horse?
Yeah. It sucks.
I was off riding for 2 weeks and had my first riding lesson on Saturday - we went for a trail ride and went over the theory for the dressage event and decided what horse I'll be riding Casino for it! Love that little pony - cute but spunky.
I get home after riding and my back is freaking killing me. It's pulsing and aching and just doesn't feel right. And my parents have decided that I can't ride on Tuesday this week and we'll have to see about Saturday.
Now if I can't ride this Sat then I won't enter the dressage event because I've only actually ridden it once on a horse I won't be riding for it. :( I know I have to let my back recover so I don't cause permanent damage but I can't help but be disappointed because it was/might still be my first comp ever.
Yeah, life sucks sometimes.
