Pony shaped update!

I have a pony shaped update for all you people!

So I went to the barn a couple of days ago to volunteer, it was a fairly quiet day and the rides weren't at all that busy. So between rides after I'd finished poo picking the yards (all the other volleys hate it but I love it!) I went to find Midgey :D

I walked into the yards, called out his name and he was the only pony to look up.

I. Love. That. Pony.

He is adorable, I could ramble on for AGES about him but I won't to save all you eyes (or ears... or is it brain...?) I walked up to him armed with a bridle (all the halters where out on pony rides) gave him a cuddle and attempted to walk away.

He followed me.

No bridle. No nothing.

Did I mention I love that pony?

Yeah after about 5 meters I put the bridle on though 'cause other horses were picking on him and there was a quad bike group learning. So I put his bridle on and lead him through the gates the first thing I notice is he is SUPER jumpy and alert - like not normal alert, hyper alert and he is already a spooky special horse.

This should be fun.

I know hes been out of action for at least 8 weeks with his abcess so I kiiinda understand. Tye him and go ask the yard manager that day how he is. The news:

HE'S SOUND AGAIN!!!!!!

Yessssss!

Let me just say I spent the next hour or two fussing over him like and old chook. After I've put him back in the yard (I didn't ride pony face :( and at the end of the day I talk to one of the guides who rode him last weekend and she says he is FERAL.

Some how I can see that.

But I love him any way.

And I can't wait till I can buy him.

Progress!

Pony buying progress has been made!

Now as you might know I am currently desperately trying to find a job that pays enough to buy Ponyface (Midge if you didn't know) a job will pay for the ongoing costs but not for once offs like equipment and actually buying Midge.

Well yesterday I successfully completed my first baby sitting job!

It was for my next door neighbours kids, M (8) and L (10) and they were superstars! 

When I arrived they had already eaten dinner and had picked a movie for us to watch (Frozen!) so after a briefing from their parents we watched the movie and M and L went to get ready for bed. M read for 10 minutes and L for 20 - lights out and the hardest part was over! I checked on them every 1/2 hour after lights out and watched TV in between checks. The parents came home at the promised time and I was paid with no fusses - a really pain free night.

Now I was looking after them for exactly 4 hours - I charge $10 an hour (cheap where I live) so I earnt $40 in one night! That might not seem like a lot for some of you but that is a months worth of pocket money in one night! And its half the agistment cost for one week.

I am super super super happy now but I know I've got a loooooong way to go still.

Anyone one have any money making ideas?

And theres a pony sized update soon (very very exciting!).

Hi!

I'm just another horse obsessed person like all of you reading this now, I have a favourite horse, a favourite horsey saying, horsey schemes and plans, and most of all an undying love for horses.

I don't have a horse at the moment but I'm working my way towards one.

New posts will probably be up twice a week maybe more, it really depends on school work and life in general.

I'm super sorry if this is the lamest start to a blog ever but I hope/promise that it'll get better and waaaay more interesting for you guys.
